“A Voice for the Voiceless”
Activists in the humane movement often refer to themselves as providing a voice to animals whose needs are not heard. Similarly, for photographer and filmmaker Randy Bacon people who are homeless need to be heard and they also need to be seen. In The Road I Call Home, an exhibition of portraits, stories, and film of the homeless community in his hometown of Springfield, Missouri, Bacon provides an outlet for the people featured to be seen and to be heard in their own voices.
Zoocracy: Placing Permanent Political Power—Yes, the Vote—in the Paws, Claws, and Jaws of Other Species
Zoocracy is a representative form of government in which members of all sentient species—not just homo sapiens—hold permanent political power of equal dignity. Zoocracy is akin to democracy, in that decisions are made by vote of an enfranchised population. But democracy pertains to an enfranchised population that is limited to humans, whereas zoocracy extends the franchise to all species.
Soybean’s Potential
Could the soybean be the best possible food for us? It may very well be. A pound of boiled soybeans delivers 82.67g of protein, 463 mg of calcium and over 23 mg of iron, along with many other essential vitamins and minerals. It may also be the most efficient source of protein that can be produced for us to consume anywhere in the world.

Join the Humane Party and Help Us Envision and Create a Vegan World
Back in 1992, The Union for Concerned Scientists and more than 1,700 more independent scientists called on humankind to curtail environmental destruction. Today in 2017, world scientists have released a second warning notice, stating that most environmental challenges “are getting far worse.” Thankfully there is hope. There is the Humane Party, and within the Humane party there is the Economic Transition Team that is diligently working on bringing these issues to light and on creating effective change. Join the Humane Party to help us accomplish our mission.
Distribution of Animals Used for Agriculture and Manure Generated: Ratio of Manure to Land Application–Conclusions and Findings
The Humane Party’s Economic Transition Team has completed its report analyzing the manure generated from animals. The purpose of the document is to understand the daily generation of animal manure due to animal agriculture and its implications. Recommended rates of manure application to farmlands are taken into account along with each state’s total land and farming-allocated land to evaluate whether the amount of manure generated per state is insufficient, sufficient, or excessive to meet the fertilization needs of each state.

The Value of Information in the Animal Liberation Movement
The animal liberation movement has shed light into the many ways animal exploitation influences our lives and our planet. We now know significantly more than we did a decade ago; such knowledge has strengthened our approaches and has made our actions far more effective. Yet, much work is still required. The Humane Party of the United States has perceived this need and has established the Economic Transition Team, a group of individuals with several backgrounds and expertise, such as environmental scientists, farming and economics experts, and data mining experts. This group has prepared several research reports to provide factual and accurate information to other organizations in order to maximize their efforts.
How Much Is Life Worth?
Animals represent the best example of life having a real, factual value. Every time we walk by the meats section of any grocery store, we see a price tag on the body of an individual, an individual who endured a horrendous life, a life very few of us can even stand observing. The price tag in the market includes taxes, profits for the store, distributors, etc. If such a price has been inflated to add the profits of so many, what is the bottom-line value of their life?
