Earth Day, Humane Party 10-year Anniversary and Inaugural Presidential Primary

Today is Earth Day, and today is the 10th anniversary of the Humane Party, which was founded on the fundamental ideas of abolition of exploitation. The party’s hundreds of volunteers and thousands of followers see the necessity of such a party when the current political parties always seem to offer more of the same. The Humane Party’s platform is different. It is far-reaching and encompasses ideals beyond safeguarding the environment and ending the suffering of species.

Underground Railroad Heritage Center Opens in Niagara Falls, New York

A museum and convention hall commemorating the Underground Railroad has opened in Niagara Falls, New York, to honor the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the many people who helped escapees in their journey to freedom prior to abolition of human slavery in the United States.
The clandestine network that helped people escape from bondage in the U.S. represents an early American example of direct action which can be viewed, in that regard, as an antecedent to the Animal Liberation Front of today.

Earth Day Brings Humane Party’s 9th Birthday and Release of 2018-19 Platform

Earth Day 2018 (Sunday, April 22) will mark the 9th anniversary of the launch of the Humane Party.  As per tradition, the HP will also release its bi-annual party platform on Earth Day. The 2018-19 platform includes two new sections and several significant updates.

Bringing in the New Year with Brandy Walt

The Humane Party’s Staff Coordinator, Brandy Walt, continues in their role for a second term, January 1-March 31, 2018. This announcement also lists some of the notable changes that were made during their first term, October 1-December 31, 2017.
