Let Freedom Moo

A poem by Anon

Let Freedom moo—and bark and bray.

Let Freedom hiss, croak, and cackle.

Let Freedom oink—and screech and neigh.

Let Freedom whoop, roar, and rattle.

Let Freedom leap—and swim and fly.

Let Freedom prance, pad, and paddle.

Let Freedom swish—and swoop and glide.

Let Freedom squirt, squirm, and squiggle.

Let Freedom yawn—and purr and snore.

Let Freedom sniff, weave, and wander.

Let Freedom dig—and build and store.

Let Freedom gaze, peek, and ponder.

Let every creature’s name be “Freedom,”

’til fact be matched with name.

Let Freedom be the future

that supplants our past of shame.
