No one has emerged as a more reliable pawn of animal exploitation than Bernie Sanders, who has built his career serving the Vermont animal-exploitation “industry.” And this week, the Trump administration announced handouts in the amount of $9.6 billion to animal-killing operations.
A brand is unlike the eyes of the other, those of our own or any species with whom gazes are exchanged. There is no Thou here. There is only I, I, I. The eye comes smack up against flat surfaces. There is no space to reflect, to wonder, to explore.
