Now that 2020 has arrived, it seems like ages have passed since the HP’s “2020 Vision” booth was first deployed (shown here in 2011). That first weekend, we rang the “Liberty Bell for the Animals” every time another person registered as a Humane Party voter. Over time, as conference-goers learned what the sound meant, each new ring of the Liberty Bell prompted cheers. Animal liberation will be achieved in this manner, one voter at a time, until we finally have enough votes to make good on the promise of the “2020 Vision” banner seen here: victory in the U.S. Senate, House, and Presidential races. Even if the Liberty Bell for the Animals can’t be with you every time you vote and everywhere you volunteer for the animals, know that it “rings” nonetheless.
Congratulations to everyone who made this 11th HP Birthday possible. Let’s take this occasion to redouble our commitment, with full knowledge that one day every cage will be empty, every slaughterhouse shuttered, every vivisection lab defunct, and every creature free.
