In September 2017, the U.S.’s national debt exceeded $20 trillion for the first time ever.  Now the accumulated national debt exceeds $21 trillion.  Millennials, and generations of Americans who have not yet been born, are the ones who have been “left holding the bag” of Democrat-Republican profligacy.
